Strengths

• Houndstooth has better quality duds than most vintage stores, because they focus on "virgin vintage" items that have never been worn, with no holes, buttons or pockets missing.
• They have a great selection of suits and blazers, with lots of plaids and classic patterns.
• They also carry vintage flasks, aviator sunglasses, roller skates and Kodak Brownie Cameras.
• They get new pieces every week and the store is small so you can zip in, see if there's anything you want, and zip out. Perfect for guys with A.D.D. and the girls who love/tolerate them.

Shortcomings

• Only one dressing room means a potential wait in time.
• There's a $20 card minimum, so bring cash in case you only want a pair of $10 sunglasses.

• They'll do simple alterations for only $5.
• They also do personal styling and headshots.

• My boyfriend hates to shop. He literally will not do it unless I force him. So when I dragged him to Houndstooth, I expected the usual whining. He really took to the place, though - he lasted over half an hour and bought a great blazer.
